Anacapa vs Midland for the first game of the year!

Anacapa recently traveled to Los Olivos to play a soccer game at Midland School in a tradition that dates back many years. The Islanders started off the game very strong and took the lead on an early goal by 8th grader Luke. Midland tied it up 1-1, but the Islanders responded with another excellent goal off a set piece by a 9th grader. GS/BBMR Grape Stomp was a Huge Success!

This year’s Grape Stomp at the Fess Parker Winery took on an exciting new dimension. Barney Berglund, a devoted Anacapa board member and local cycling hero, died tragically from cancer on February 4, 2014.
