  • Anacapa Alumni: Checking in from College December 17, 2012

    Anacapa alumni, Douglas Throop and Haley Yuhaz (both class of 2012), returned to Elliott Hall to reminisce and pass on wisdom they’ve collected so far in the post-Anacapa world. Douglas, a freshman History major at Pepperdine University, was surprised at how quickly his sleeping patterns shifted to night owl. He recommends taking later courses to account for this inevitable shift. Haley, freshman in Theater at Northern Arizona University, enjoys the freedom that comes with a college schedule- she has a perpetual 3 day weekend with no classes on fridays! She recommended exploring extracurricular options and has found herself as the social director of the school’s composting club. Both stressed the opportunities available in college, and encouraged Anacapans to explore!

  • A New York Get-Together for Three Anacapa Alums April 4, 2012 Chloe Chatenever and Bethany O’Donnell, both Class of 2006, traveled back East recently to visit Lily Rosenthal, Class of 2008.  Lily, a senior at Bard College, plans to move to New York City after graduation this spring.  Chloe and Bethany both live and work in Boulder, Colorado.
  • Shamus O’Donnell Has a St. Patrick’s Day Baby! April 4, 2012 Shamus O’Donnell, Class of 2000, and his wife Terri welcomed daughter Riley Shay into the world on Saturday, March 17.   Arriving at 4:14pm, Riley was “a beautiful 7 lbs. 8oz., 19.5 in.,” according to her proud aunt, Bethany O’Donnell, Class of 2006.
