Anacapa School serves students who want a challenging and balanced college preparatory experience in a personal, small school setting. Our admission selection process helps us identify “mission-appropriate” students—those who will contribute to and benefit from Anacapa’s programs. Anacapa School’s admission standards are selective. As we evaluate prospective students’ applications, we consider each student’s academic performance and potential, special talents and interests, personal integrity, maturity, and sense of responsibility.

We also recommend (or may require) that students complete a campus visit as part of the application process.

Admissions Timeline for Fall Enrollments
The following admissions timeline may be useful for your planning purposes. Please note that some of the items listed on the timeline are recommended, not required. Required admissions steps are written in bold and italicized.
Please do not hesitate to contact Anacapa via the School’s website to request written materials or call Anacapa’s admissions office with questions. We will be more than happy to clarify anything that is unclear.
Starting in September each year, we begin accepting applications for fall of the following year. This year’s deadline for priority consideration is February 5, 2016. After February 5, applications are considered on a rolling basis.
Establish initial contact with Anacapa via phone, email, or fill out our online inquiry form.

Attendance at an open house
Student campus visit or shadow day
Completion of application paperwork
Meeting with applicant: Anacapa requires a meeting with all applicants as a part of the admissions process. Please call Anacapa’s admissions office to arrange a meeting time that works best for your calendar. For overseas or long distance applicants, Anacapa admissions staff is happy to arrange a meeting via Skype at a mutually agreed upon time.
Friday, February 5
Admissions applications are due for priority consideration. Financial aid applications are also due at this time.
Friday, March 4
Acceptance letters mailed. Families applying for financial aid will also be notified at this time.
Friday, March 18
Acceptance of offer of admission and/or financial aid is due.
Admissions Timeline for Mid-Year Enrollments
Although most Anacapa students enroll for a full academic year (September-June), occasionally the school will admit a new student for enrollment during the course of the school year. This is done when a space is available in a particular grade level and when it is in the best interest of both the student and the school to do so. We will be happy to talk with you about the possibility of a midyear admission if you are interested in pursuing this option.
