Thank you for your interest in applying to Anacapa School!

Anacapa School serves students who want a challenging and balanced college preparatory experience in a personal, small school setting.  Our admission selection process helps us identify “mission-appropriate” students—those who will contribute to and benefit from Anacapa’s programs. Anacapa School’s admission standards are selective.  As we evaluate prospective students’ applications, we consider each student’s academic performance and potential, special talents and interests, personal integrity, maturity, and sense of responsibility.

Our school’s admission standards are selective and involve successful completion of the following pieces of the  Application Packet:

1. Application Checklist

2. Application for Admission

3. Student Statement

4. Academic and Personal Evaluation

5. Academic Release Form

6. Transcripts of previous grades and standardized test scores

We also recommend (or may require) that students complete a campus visit as part of the application process.

Admissions are made on a rolling basis—that is, an admission decision is made as soon as a student’s application is complete. The following suggested timeline is provided for your information, but prospective applicants should not be discouraged from applying if they begin the application process at a later date.

Fall Admissions

Attendance at an open house

Student campus visit

Completion of application paperwork

Mid-Year Admissions

Although most Anacapa students enroll for a full academic year (September-June), occasionally the school will admit a new student for enrollment during the course of the school year.  This is done when a space is available in a particular grade level and when it is in the best interest of both the student and the school to do so.  We will be happy to talk with you about the possibility of a mid-year admission if you are interested in this.
