Day One The first day of school at Anacapa is a great time to get reacquainted with one another and meet the new students. We have announcements to start the day, play a game where we introduce one another, assign lockers, measure the height of each student, and meet for 15 minutes in each of the academic classes. There is also an all-school scavenger hunt with students divided into teams and a senior to lead each team. This first day is always a positive way to start the year! |

Day Two On Day 2 of the school year, we head to Leadbetter Beach to play the egg toss game and the name game, to kayak, and to have fun with several other athletic competitions (tug-of-war is a favorite). We have the best time enjoying the weather, the beach, and each other. After the activities are over, Anacapa families, students, and staff gather for a celebration potluck to kick off the year the right way… with awesome food and lively conversation!
