Every year Anacapa celebrates the beginning of Spring with a "March Special" celebration, and this year was indeed special.  Everybody loaded into the school vans, and we drove over San Marcos Pass to visit Midland School, one of our neighboring independent schools in the Santa Ynez Valley.  Our entire school went on a really scenic hike that overlooked the valley and gave us a great view of Grass Mountain and Figueroa Mountain.  After working up a sweat and an appetite on the hike, we joined the Midland students in their cafeteria for a satiating soup and salad meal.  Our students brought homemade cupcakes that the Midlanders and Anacapans enjoyed together for dessert. The March Special was a great outdoor experience and a great way to say hello to our neighbors!
