Under the Sea

Auction  2009

Moms of Anacapa students enjoyed each other’s company at the auction.

Many students helped make fish for our “Under the Sea” auction décor.

There were lots of wonderful items to bid on in the Gold Room, including original works of art.

Anacapa parents were responsible for the fabulous transformation of our courtyard into an undersea garden.

Anacapa fathers and students helped supply power for the auction.

Anacapa parents like this volunteer were on campus a lot during the weeks before the auction, helping with donations.

“Under the Sea” was the theme for this year’s Anacapa Annual Auction.

Students helped serve up seafood dishes.

Everyone enjoyed lunch in Anacapa’s sunny backyard.

Parents, students, and guests shared tables for lunch.

One of our former Anacapa ceramics teachers, who is also a sculptor, made a bid on one of the many baskets available.

Anacapa parents tended bar during the event.

Anacapa’s executive administrator and her husband hosted a table of auction guests.

Even our students shopped at the auction.

Anacapa alums Noah and Samantha Eve posed in their Occhiali sunglasses.

These girls obviously enjoyed the party.

Anacapa Performing Arts students provided entertainment with songs about the sea.

One of the songs the girls sang was Octopus’s Garden.

Members of the Anacapa Ensemble Music class entertained the guests prior to the live auction.

The music students kept us all rockin’.

These students are great guitarists.

Students assisted the auctioneer during the live auction.

When an Anacapa dad offered our student helper a giant clam shell full of raffle tickets to choose from, everyone was surprised when he drew a raffle ticket entered by his own mother!

Auctioneer Paul Clay deftly worked the crowd, as he has in years past.

Delicious cupcakes made by Samantha Eve, Class of 2003, were a big hit.
