Margaret (Peggy) Lauer: Literature, Fiber Arts, Creative Writing
Go back

We read good literature because it challenges us to constantly re-evaluate our ethical and moral beliefs.  We write because it develops our abilities to think critically and to communicate articulately.

B.A., English, UCSB, 1987.  Peggy comes to Anacapa from Midland School in Los Olivos where she taught for 20 years.  While at Midland, she taught Spanish, English, and Creative Writing; served as the school librarian; advised students; tutored; and filled many other roles required of boarding school faculty members.  Peggy is a fiber artist who has grown her own wool, angora, and mohair; spun it into yarn; dyed it; and woven or knit with it.  She is also an accomplished quilter, seamstress, cook, and gardener.  Peggy’s other interests include reading, writing fiction, playing the guitar, and monotype printmaking.
